Rachel Ward
I am an experienced Registered Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach who works with people with a broad range of issues.
My passion for food and nutrition developed when I saw the impact of what we eat on our health, when my first child was born with multiple allergies and food intolerances. I have practical experience of implementing specific diets and understand first hand the difficulties and frustrations of catering for a family, when you can't all eat the same thing. I aim to offer a warm and friendly approach with advice that is practical and easy to follow.
I am happy to address digestive health, thyroid and hormone dysregulation, autoimmunity, gluten-related disorders and food sensitivities, stress management, anxiety and low mood, energy regulation and chronic fatigue syndrome/ME.
Having suffered from Chronic Fatigue myself many years ago, I have particular interest in the effects of food and food sensitivities on mood, energy and general health and also understand how overwhelming it can be trying to make dietary changes, when feeling exhausted or below par.
I have a special interest in food sensitivities and the impact of food and diet on mood, behaviour and energy. Lifestyle and diet are such important areas to address, as they can be drivers or underlying factors in some chronic conditions, it is so important to address these areas.
Within the constraints of today's busy lifestyle, I am committed to helping people remove the stress and confusion from achieving good nutrition generally, but also if catering for yourself or someone else on a specific diet. In my work as a Health Coach, I will help, guide and encourage you through the changes you want to make to your diet and lifestyle.
I have a strong belief in the healing power of food and my aim is to offer an individualised approach to help people feel as well as they can and get the most out of life.
